So I am back home in wet and windy Castledawson for Christmas. No snow as of yet, but the fire is on, and the eating has already begun. My trip home sees the end of what has been an amazing first year for me living in Brooklyn. So many great gigs, new friendships, new songs, and an even greater hunger to continue to make music. 2011 is a year that I will never forget. When I think of everything that I did this year in an attempt to sum up my highlights I think that my first thought is always the day we shot my first music video. It was one of those days that I actually felt like a rock star… cheesy as that may sound!
2012 will see the release of a brand new EP, a collection of songs that I believe is my strongest to date. I already have a couple of semi-confirmed dates for shows in the New Year, all of which will be in NYC. This year will see me taking my music a little further afield, but all will be revealed very soon.
I just want to wish everyone on both sides of the Atlantic a really peaceful and enjoyable holiday season. Wrap up warm and go easy on the eggnog and mince pies… or you will be dying with heartburn like I have been since I got home.
Here’s a little reminder of what it was like when the weather was a little warmer…
Rock on good people
